The Tooth-fairy & her little helper "in training" teamed up recently to promote the Missouri Preventive Services Program at the Festival For The Young Child event held in Florissant Missouri. The festival is an annual event sponsored by the Ferguson-Florissant School District, in collaboration with the city of Florissant, in an effort to provide families with young children 5 years and younger with valuable information about programs or services that are available to them.
As little ones flocked toward the booth for PSP, eager to meet and touch the bright, glittery costumes of the two fairies, parents were provided with answers to the many questions they had in regard to their children's oral health. This provided several opportunities to explain the Preventive Services Program and pass out literature on the benefits of using fluoride varnish to prevent dental decay in small children.
It was estimated that 1,500 people were in attendance.
