One hundred and seventeen (117) of Missouri's Head Start and Early Head Start Centers participate in the Preventive Services Program. This program offers twice yearly fluoride varnish, education, toothbrushes, screenings and referral for dental services to the children.
The Missouri Head Start Collaboration Office serves as a supporter of the Preventive Services Program and has endorsed the program and its efforts towards better oral health of Missouri's young children.
